2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport

This 2001 Jeep Cherokee is a largely unmodified Sport model finished in black over grey and showing 59k miles. Power comes from a 4.0-liter inline-six mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission and part-time Command-Trac 4WD system. Service over the last five years included fitment of a new radiator, ignition coil, catalytic converter, shocks and struts, front brakes, and more. This XJ was acquired by the selling dealer in July 2018 and is offered with maintenance records, an accident-free Carfax, and a clean Oregon title.

The truck is finished in Black (PX8) with color-matched body trim, bumpers, mirrors, and window surrounds. The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage.

A walk-around video is shown above. Factory 15″ steel wheels are fitted with 235/75 Michelin LTX tires. The front brake calipers and pads were replaced in 2013 along with the shocks and struts.

The interior is finished in dark grey with patterned cloth seats, vinyl door coverings, color-keyed carpets, and a cloth headliner. An Alpine CD/MP3 player has replaced the original radio and is linked to aftermarket speakers through two Alpine amplifiers.

Just under 59,200 miles are displayed on the digital odometer. Both front window regulators and the wiper motor were replaced in May 2017 according to the Carfax. The air conditioning system was recharged in August 2018 and is said to work well.

The 4.0-liter inline-six was factory rated at 190 horsepower with 235 lb-ft of torque. A cooling service in 2017 included a new radiator, hoses, thermostat, coolant flange seal. Further replacement parts over the last three years included the battery, valve cover gasket, ignition coil, spark plugs, pcv hose, O2 sensor, and catalytic converter.

Power is sent through an Aisin-Warner 4-speed automatic transmission and part-time selectable transfer case to Chrysler 8.25 rear and Dana 30 front axles. Several gallery photos highlight the underbody, chassis, and suspension components.

The Carfax shows a clean accident history and steady mileage reporting since new.
