This Jeep XJ Cherokee got away, but there are more like it here.
This 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport is finished in Silverstone Metallic over Agate cloth upholstery and is powered by a 4.0L inline-six mated to a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a Trac-Lok rear differential. Modifications include a suspension lift kit, aftermarket shocks, a track bar, an electronically locking front differential, and 15″ Method alloy wheels. Additional equipment includes keyless entry, air conditioning, and a Sony CD Stereo. The truck was acquired by the seller in December 2012 and work since 2021 reportedly included rebuilding the rear differential and replacing the radiator, water pump, oxygen sensors, front brakes, outer tie rods, tie rod sleeves, and air conditioning components. This XJ Cherokee has 124k miles and is now offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, service records, a Blue Ox tow bar, two keys, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The truck left the factory finished in Silverstone Metallic (PS5) and the seller states that the wheel arch extensions were replaced and painted to match the body in 2015. Additional details include keyless entry, power-adjustable mirrors, tinted rear windows, a roof rack, a rear wiper, a receiver hitch, and a single exhaust outlet. An indentation is noted on the front bumper to the left of the license plate, dents are visible on the right side of the truck, and the black plastic trim is faded.
Black-finished 15″ Method beadlock-style wheels are mounted with 31×10.5″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A K02 tires, while a spare is located in the cargo compartment beneath a carpeted cover. The seller reports that a Rubicon Express suspension lift kit, Bilstein shocks, and a track bar were installed. Stopping power is handled by power-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes. Service since 2021 included replacing the steering damper, front brake rotors, outer tie rods, and tie rod sleeves. The tires are said to have been have been rotated and balanced in preparation for the sale. The seller states that the truck is set up to be towed by an RV, though portions of the auxiliary airbrake system are missing. Scratches are visible on the left-front wheel, and additional photos of the wheel condition are provided in the gallery below.
The high-back front buckets and folding seat bench are upholstered in Agate cloth along with color-coordinated trim and carpets. Amenities include air conditioning, a Sony CD stereo, and power windows and door locks. The seller states that the air conditioning compressor and manifold were replaced in 2021. Discoloration is noted on the inner portion of the driver’s lower seat cushion.
The two-spoke steering wheel is mounted on a tilting column and frames a 100-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 124k miles, approximately 34k of which were added under current ownership.
The 4.0L inline-six was factory rated at 195 horsepower and 230 lb-ft of torque. Work performed under current ownership is said to have included the replacement of the radiator, water pump, oxygen sensors, and alternator. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a Trac-Lok rear differential. The truck has been fitted with an electronically locking front differential, and work performed in 2021 is said to have included rear differential bearings and installing a 4.10:1 ring and pinion.
Manufacturer’s literature and two sets of keys with fobs are included in the sale. Service records and a Blue Ox tow bar are included in the sale.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and list history in Michigan, Tennessee, North Carolina, California, and Arizona.
