This place is very busy and the heart of the city. You get almost all the food options, clubs, sheeha bars, nice views, music - literally everything. It is diverse. Full of tourists all around too.
Very very crowded place.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Sep 26, 2019
This is the perfect place to catch food and drinks near the water. I did just that one day and it wasn't too bad, considering it was 90 degrees, with the usual high humidity.
The important thing to remember is that the majority of the restaurants here are only open during lunch and dinner, so they are closed between those hours. There was one restaurant that was only open from 6pm - 5am, obviously catering to the drinking tourists.
You can also pay to take a boat ride down the canal. They had just unloaded an entire tour bus when I was here.Helpful 11Thanks 0Love this 12Oh no 0 - Apr 6, 2018
Clarke Quay is a favorite spot for both locals and tourists alike, and is one of my most favorite places to hangout in Singapore. Whatever you are in the mood for, Clarke Quay has something that you'll like.
Want some sightseeing? Take a river cruise down the Singapore River to the Marina Bay and back. Do this during the day to get a good picture of the beauty and glamorous architecture of Singapore. Do this at night to get a more romantic feel; and if you do it at the right time, you can catch Singapore's nightly light shows.
If you are in a lively and energetic mood, then grab a drink from one of the many bars with outdoor seating; enjoy the live music and occasional performances by some street artists; and soak in the chill vibes and festive atmosphere.
Ready for some gourmet dining? You are at the right place! Try Jumbo for their famous Chili crab which is one of Singapore's signature cuisines, or check out celebrity chef Violet Oon's Satay Grill, among other fine restaurants.
Ready to party? There are a couple of nightclubs there including the World famous Zouk, which was ranked #4 in the World's Top 100 Clubs by DJ Magazine in 2016.
If you are in a romantic mood, then this is one of the most beautiful places to take a stroll along the river at night, under the stars and the moon, and above the reflections of the neon lights.
Clark Quay is the perfect place to drink, to dance, or to dine. To chill, to party, or to celebrate. To explore, to enjoy, or just to relax.
Or to fall in love...
With Singapore...Helpful 92Thanks 0Love this 91Oh no 0 - Feb 1, 2020
Clarke Quay is one of those locations that rose out of Singapore's past and moved into the twenty-first century in a very tourist-orientated manner.
Located along the Singapore River, this location is the home to numerous restaurants, bars, and the kick off spot for the river rides. Though you can petty much visit Clarke Quay anytime day or night, it is essential to keep in mind that virtually all of the restaurants shut down for a few hours between the lunch and dinner crowds. So, if you are going there planning to eat around 3:00 PM, your options will be very limited.
Clarke Quay is a bright and colorful location at night. There are generally a lot of people eating, drinking, and socializing. It can get crowded.
Overall, this is one of the Singapore spots where the new has been forced over the old and it is now best defined as simply a place to hang out, eat and enjoy a few drinks.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - Apr 9, 2019
Come here at night. There isn't much here besides bars, clubs and restaurants. At night the whole area is lit up and it's a cool spot to eat and drink.
Not much to do during the day
There are a couple of "meh" malls in the area you can check out but they are basically a waste of time... especially compared to the shops on Orchard or at the Marina.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 29, 2018

Famous for its picturesque waterside restaurants and a collection of chic bars and clubs, this beautiful riverside Quay in Singapore has much to offer.
A host of family-centric things to see and do including a relaxing cruise down the Singapore River while you marvel at the magnificent view during the day. Or take a leisurely stroll amidst the glittering lanes with a lively nightlife when the sun goes down.
An impressive lineup of various cuisines to satisfy every palates with live music serenading you while you dine.
Or settle in at one of the bars lining up the venue with your favorite cocktail while you unwind and soak in your surroundings. If dancing is your thing, the nightclubs here are jumpin' til the early mornin'!
There is something for everyone whether you choose to visit during the day or prefer the nightlife scene that is more appealing to the 21+ crowds.
Clarke Quay is a must visit on your tourist trail! It's one of the reasons why Singapore is a bucket list destination!Helpful 237Thanks 0Love this 229Oh no 0 - Mar 12, 2016
It was all serendipity w/ this place. After we got back from dinner, I wasn't ready to go to sleep yet. I wanted to go for a run vs. running on the treadmill so I put on my wireless headphones, my HR monitor strap, my HR monitor watch, 2 of my phones, and my room key and took off.
Singapore is a city that never sleeps. I found that out when I went for a run on a random weeknight. I found this place and was in complete shock because I enjoy that type of scenery; lots of nice restaurants and the live music playing at every restaurant/bar.
I was sweaty AF but that did not stop me from halting my run to listen to a few tunes before I resumed my run. I ran about 4 miles total and was quite stoked that I burned a lot of calories and the fact that discovered this spot.
My favorite spot is the lighted heart by the river.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 9Oh no 0 - 768043160Nov 20, 2018
This is a nice place to come for night life which Has a lot of bars and restaurants. What is cool about it is at night time there are lots of local singers at almost every bar which means you can listen to any genre you want too.

A friend of mine wanted to come here for Taco Tuesday at Senior Tacos; it was a great suggestion. The food was great and so was the service.
The best part about this place is the romantic atmosphere. There are restaurants all along the waterfront. Many restaurants offer seating inside the restaurant or waterfront. It's nice to have the option given how hot and humid this place is.
As the night progressed there were no shortage of bars and restaurants offering live music. We stumbled upon a very talented trio of musicians playing at Little Saigon. They were GOOD; so good that I couldn't help myself from dancing the night away. Next thing I knew the place was packed with patrons.
I highly recommend Clarke Quay for a nice night out on the town filled with dinner, drinks, and maybe even a little dancing.
Yes, it's full of tourists, but what's wrong with that? At the end of the day, we're all just people wanting to enjoy life.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0
