Kelly Rutherford is boarding Bones in a guest role.
The actress will appear in an upcoming Bones episode as an old friend of Hodgins (TJ Thyne), according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Her character Stephanie McNamara will be caught up in an FBI murder investigation when her brother is nabbed for interrogation.
Rutherford is best known for playing Lily van der Woodsen in Gossip Girl, which aired on The CW from 2007 to 2012.
Other memorable roles include portraying Megan Mancini on Melrose Place and Judy Owen in Homefront.
Former West Wing actor Richard Schiff and Olympian McKayla Maroney are also appearing in Bones this season.
Bones airs on Fox.
