Riquelme named captain

Villarreal playmaker Juan Roman Riquelme will captain Argentina for the first time on Sunday, when they take on rivals Brazil in a friendly at the Emirates stadium. Manager Alfio Basile announced the decision in his first game in charge of the ‘albicelest

Juan Pablo Sorin was not called up for the friendly, so Spartak Moscow's Clemente Rodriguez takes over at left back, while World Cup reserves Gabriel Milito and Fabricio Coloccini will start in the centre of defence.
