Fabio Paratici has made a decent start to life at Tottenham Hotspur – but his move to North London hasn’t impressed everybody.
The Italian left Juventus at the end of last season, and finally made the move to Tottenham after years of Daniel Levy chasing him.
Paratici was charged with the task of retooling the Tottenham squad, which meant offloading fairly big names like Joe Hart, Toby Alderweireld, Serge Aurier, Moussa Sissoko and Erik Lamela.
A new backup goalkeeper has arrived in Pierluigi Gollini, with star defender Cristian Romero following him from Atalanta.
Emerson Royal is the new right back after joining from Barcelona, whilst Bryan Gil arrived for future. Pape Sarr has signed from Metz, but has been loaned back to the French club for the season.
It’s all pretty positive stuff for the future at Tottenham, with Paratici having to rebuild the squad carefully before turning them into a contender, as he did with Juventus.
Former Juventus managing director Luciano Moggi has now had his say on Paratici’s move to Tottenham – and he isn’t a huge fan of his decision.
Moggi has previously spoken highly of Paratici, claiming that he is a great loss for Juventus.
Yet speaking to Tuttomercatoweb, Moggi was asked to comment on The Sun’s report suggesting that Tottenham players were uncomfortable with Paratici’s behaviour and presence on the Tottenham bench.
Moggi now believes that Paratici has no chance of becoming integrated at Tottenham, though thinks that maybe his work is paying off because Spurs are top of the Premier League table.
“I think Paratici has little life there,” said Moggi. “I believe he has no possibility of being fully integrated into the club. However, Tottenham are first in the standings… obviously the grafts have a value,” he added.
