Little Big Planet 3 (PS4)

"Little Big Planet 3" is the latest edition of PlayStation's successful puzzle platformer video game, exclusive to the PS4. Receiving high praise for it's visuals, brand new elements of gameplay and wealth of new characters players are encouraged to "Play, Create, and Share".

Steven Fry returns to narrate, and unlike previous Little Big Planet's where voice acting was limited to cut scenes, this version is fully voice acted including active gameplay. Hugh Laurie also make an appearance amongst a wealth of recognisable stars. Those familiar with the game will be pleased to hear our hero Sackboy features again alongside three new characters, Oddsock, Swoop and Toggle, each with their own unique traits and abilities.

It's not necessary to have prior knowledge of the game, since the instalments don't follow a single storyline and serve more as a series of adventures. Taking place in solace on planet Bunkum (within the LittleBigPlanet universe) our old friend Sackboy must stop the unskilled creator Newton from destroying their creative paradise. To do so he must find three legendary heroes in order to save the planet from the equally legendary Titus. You must find the Titans located in the depths of Bunkum and trap them, sending them to the Stitchem Earl Grey Tea tin from which they escaped. As we've come to expect from the franchise, this game is infinitely light-hearted. Sackboy has some tools at his disposal to help him on his way, such as a hat that shoots cupcakes and gloves to help him grab the things he needs. Specials gateway doors link you to mini games and vast explorable hubs in this varied and visually stunning game.

Content from the previous games Little Big Planet and Little Big Planet 2 are fully compatible; simply transfer data to this version. Children love the ability to realise their own world by creating their own levels and playing those created in previous editions. The online network lets them share these with friends and family and play other players' inventions also.

This game is given a PEGI rating of 7, recommended for children over 7 years old. Due to the fact that this game encourages you to connect to its online community of user generated levels, you may wish to supervise young children.
