MN: Ibrahimovic to have first meeting with Milan squad and management tomorrow

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is getting ready to return to Milanello for his third spell, but this time not as an AC Milan player.

In a statement published earlier in the week, RedBird Capital Partners confirmed that Ibrahimovic is back for a third spell at the club. He is their employee officially and will be the Operating Partner across its Sports and Media & Entertainment investment portfolio, but will also serve as a Senior Advisor to AC Milan Ownership and Senior Management.

After last night’s victory against Newcastle United at St. James’ Park to keep the European campaign going, MilanNews reports that Stefano Pioli granted a day’s rest to his team who will return to Italy from England in the early afternoon.

There should have been the first meeting today at Milanello between Ibrahimovic – the new Senior Advisor of RedBird – and the Milan squad. Now, this first summit will not take place today, but should take place tomorrow when training resumes at the Carnago sports centre.

The Swede will have a first meeting with not only the Milan players, but also Pioli and the management to discuss the current moment.
